Town of Waynesville offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013 in observance of Memorial Day.
Join us for a Block Party in Downtown Waynesville on Saturday, May 25, from 7 - 10 p.m. Enjoy live music and dancing with the 96.5 House Band, Soldier's Heart and Josh Fields Band. Restaurants are open and there will be activities on the street. This event is sponsored by the Downtown Waynesville Association and merchants to kick off the new season of activities on Main Street. Waynesville Seeks Citizen Volunteers for Boards
The Town of Waynesville always needs volunteers to serve on its various boards and commissions, including the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, Board of Adjustment, Firemen's Relief Fund Board, Historic Preservation Commission, Planning Board, Public Art Commission, Recreation and Parks Advisory Commission and the Waynesville Housing Authority. When vacancies occur, applications are reviewed and those applicants are considered for appointment.
Anyone interested in serving must fill out an application for consideration by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. Applications are available here. Information regarding the various boards and commissions is also available under the "Boards and Commissions" tab under the Main Menu or by calling the Administrative Offices at 452-2491.
Lyme Disease Awareness Month Proclamation
