On Wednesday, February 10th the Town of Waynesville issued Notice to Proceed to Clark Ledbetter Grading for replacement of the Hendrix Street Bridge over Allens Creek in Waynesville.  The work will begin during the month of February 2010 as soon as weather permits.  The project is to be completed no later than November 14, 2010.  Hendrix Street will be closed at Allens Creek during construction.  Signs will be posted to direct traffic onto alternate routes using South Main Street and Allens Creek Road.  The Town of Waynesville is working with state and federal partners to provide residents and visitors with safer roads and bridges.  Please contact Public Works Director Fred Baker at 828-456-4410 if you have questions or need additional information regarding this project.
