In January 2006 the Public Art Commission was established to promote and maintain public art. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Board Room located at 9 South Main Street in Waynesville. Members are appointed by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen and terms are for four (4) years. Members include: Philan Medford, Mieko Thomson, Marilyn Sullivan, Chris Sylvester, Kaaren Stoner, David Blevins, Janice Griffin and Bill King.
