In January 2006 the Public Art Commission was established to promote and maintain public art. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Board Room located at 9 South Main Street in Waynesville.

Members are appointed by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen and terms are for four (4) years. Members include: Sylvia Everett, David Blevins, Ann Melton, Diana Laursen, Janice Griffin, William King, Sarah Jane League, Ed Kelley and Philan Medford.
