The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial board. Some powers and duties include interpretation, administrative review, conditional uses and variances. Three regular and three alternate members are appointed by the Town (these members live inside the corporate limits). Two regular and two alternate members are appointed by Haywood County (these members live outside the corporate limits but within the Town's land use area). Appointment terms are for three (3) years with an appointment date of May 31. Meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at 280 Georgia Avenue (Hazelwood Office).
